Supportive Employment
Our Supportive Employment services aim to create an accommodating work environment that offers natural supports. We work closely with employers to ensure that participants receive the support they need to thrive in their roles. This includes providing support throughout the interview process, including interview preparation and mock interviews, assisting with onboarding, and offering continued support during the critical first few months of employment. Our goal is to ensure that participants feel confident and fully prepared as they transition into their new roles, fostering long-term success. We strategically fade employment support as natural supports become available and are effectively utilized.
Vocational Adjustment Training
Our Vocational Adjustment Training program focuses on helping participants develop the essential soft skills and workplace behaviors needed to succeed in today’s job market. We tailor the training to meet individual needs, covering topics such as communication, time management, problem-solving, and workplace etiquette, ensuring that participants are well-prepared for long-term employment success.
Career Planning Assessment
The Career Planning Assessment evaluates work skills, support needs, and future employment goals through a comprehensive, hands-on approach. This process includes interviews, skill assessments, and observations in natural and work environments. Participants gain insights into their abilities and career interests, which helps them make informed decisions about their employment path. The assessment emphasizes collaboration with the participant’s support network to create a tailored career plan.
Work Experience Training
We understand the importance of hands-on experience in building confidence and developing essential skills. Our Work Experience Training program offers participants the opportunity to gain practical insights into various industries, helping them explore their interests and uncover their strengths. This 12-week program pairs participants with a dedicated job skills trainer for personalized support. Together, we identify individual strengths and areas for growth, providing guidance on workplace success and any accommodations that may enhance their performance. Our commitment to partnering with local organizations ensures that each placement is aligned with the participant’s career goals, allowing for a tailored experience that reflects their aspirations and supports their journey toward meaningful employment.
Job Skills Training
Our Job Skills Training service provides tailored, goal-focused instruction to help participants meet employer expectations and enhance independence. This service includes teaching and reinforcing skills, setting up accommodations, and providing immediate feedback. Training addresses job responsibilities, workplace etiquette, communication, and behavior management. Our trainers work closely with participants and employers to ensure a supportive transition into the workplace while gradually reducing support as participants gain confidence and independence.
Job Placement
Our team is committed to matching each participant’s unique abilities and aspirations with the right employment opportunities. We leverage our expertise and extensive network of employers to facilitate meaningful job placements that capitalize on participants’ strengths while managing areas for improvement. In addition to job matching, we provide comprehensive resume and interview training to ensure participants are well-prepared for the job search process. We also guide participants through the disclosure process, helping them decide if and how to disclose their disability and request accommodations as needed. Once they secure employment, we continue to offer support, helping them navigate workplace challenges and ensuring long-term success in their new roles.
